The lowdown on me

Hi, I'm Jess, a freelance journalist, digital editor and copywriter currently based in London.

I cover anything that interests me but my specialisms include all things homes and property, sustainability and psychology.

I left my role as Deputy Culture Editor (Digital) at The Independent in 2016. Since then, I have continued to write for The Independent, alongside the Evening Standard, the i paper, The Observer, LoveProperty, Refinery29, Stylist and Fabulous.

Commercial clients to date have included Movebubble, Zoopla, GoFundMe, Eventbrite and British Airways.

I trained in Interactive Journalism at City University and can turn my pen (or, less romantically, my keyboard!) to anything from crisp news stories and insightful features to engaging SEO blog posts, web copy and press releases.

Struggling with your content strategy? I'm a big planner with years of newsroom experience using analytics and social media to help grow loyal audiences of millions.

I'm a friendly person, so please do get in touch and we can arrange a (virtual!) cuppa.
